The following FAQ answers are general, and a consultation with your Doctor is still recommended to answer them based on your personal circumstances.
-
A Breast Augmentation can increase an existing breast size, and may even/correct asymmetry of the breasts or reconstruct your breast. It may also assist in achieving fullness/volume to the upper pole and enhance cleavage. In some cases, these factors may ‘indirectly’ lift the breasts on some patients.
-
Total costs are between $9000-10000. Costs associated with the procedure may include; Dr Supramaniam’s fee, Facility (Hospital & Theatre) fees, Anaesthesia fees, Prescriptions for medication, Medical tests (Radiology, blood tests) and Post-surgery support bra/garment.

If you are planning to breastfeed after breast augmentation surgery, talk to your Doctor OR a breastfeeding counsellor about the latest information available. Although cases vary, mothers can generally breastfeed after having breast augmentation. In addition, some women do experience reduced nipple sensation following breast augmentation surgery.
-
Recovery varies from patient to patient. Normally 1-2 weeks. Physical contact with breasts 4-6 weeks and fading of incision scars 6 – 12 months or more.
-
This depends upon your personal reasons for doing so (health reasons, wish to change the size and or model of implant, general concerns). Breast Implants do not last a lifetime nor are they guaranteed to do so; therefore, Breast Re-Augmentation (exchange of Implants) may be required in the future to replace one or both implants. If you have concerns about when you should exchange your Breast Implants, please contact your Doctor.

Talk with your Doctor first regarding when you can resume swimming. Light exercise may commence 1-2 weeks post op, Moderate exercise 3 - 4 weeks post and Moderate to Strenuous exercise 5 -6 weeks post op.
