PROCEDURE
Before undergoing MiniFX treatment at Norwest Cosmetic Surgery, you will have a comprehensive consultation with one of our Dermal Therapists, Registered Nurses or Doctors. During this consultation, your practitioner will explain the treatment, its mechanics, benefits, costs, as well as potential risks, complications, and the recovery process. You will have the opportunity to discuss your concerns and desired outcomes with your practitioner and your practitioner will devise a customised treatment plan that suits you best.
The treating practitioner will ensure you're comfortable in bed prior to beginning the MINIFX procedure.
Following the treatment, the practitioner will finish your appointment with post-treatment instructions and schedule your next appointment. We recommend a series of 6-8 treatments, with a gap of 1-2 weeks apart.
RISKS, COMPLICATIONS & RECOVERY
Following your MiniFX appointment you will need to:
Avoid sun exposure to the treated area for a few days afterwards, to prevent skin irritation and hyperpigmentation.
Remain well hydrated to promote healing.
Use gentle skincare products and avoid harsh exfoliating treatments of the treated area for a few days afterwards.
Follow any post operative care instructions provided by the clinic and attend scheduled appointments.
All MiniFX treatments have risks & complications and carry certain medical risks that may affect your overall well-being. Listed below are the known risks and complications associated with MiniFX:
Damage to natural skin texture.
Swelling and redness of the treated area. This normally settles down after a few days.

MiniFX is a non-invasive treatment designed to deliver radio-frequency (RF) to the deep tissues of small areas of the body. The RF energy heats the fat cells, causing them to break down. It is also effective in improving the appearance of cellulite.

Results are temporary and several sessions may be needed for optimal results. If combined with a healthy lifestyle that includes a balanced diet and regular exercise; the results from MiniFX can be long lasting.

Based on your personal goals and clinical examination, the Doctor or Registered Nurse will inform you of the number of sessions required for you to see results.

The treatment is generally well tolerated. Patients may experience a warming sensation during the treatment.

One treatment per week is normally recommended for the initial x6-8 weeks. Your Doctor will also inform you of how many sessions may be needed to achieve your desired result.

Avoid harsh exfoliation and/or chemical treatments the week prior to your MiniFX treatment. And keep hydrated.
