RISKS & COMPLICATIONS POLICY
Facial surgery, breast surgery, and body surgery all carry risks and complications.
For breast surgery, possible risks include bleeding, infection, fluid accumulation around the implant, allergic reactions to medical materials, changes in breast and nipple sensation, temporary or permanent numbness, wrinkling of the skin over the implant, keloid formation, capsular contracture, inappropriate implant size, implant rupture or deflation, breast asymmetry, calcium deposits in the scar capsule around the implant, granulomas, breastfeeding difficulties, reduced effectiveness of breast cancer screening, movement of the implants, further surgeries to address complications, anaesthesia risks such as allergic reactions or cardiovascular complications, and blood clots in deep veins of the legs, which can be life-threatening if they travel to the lungs or brain.
For body surgery, possible risks and complications include the risk of infection, excessive bleeding, hematoma or seroma formation (accumulation of blood or fluid), scarring, poor wound healing, changes in skin sensation, deep vein thrombosis (blood clots in the legs), anaesthesia risks, asymmetry or irregular contour.
For facial surgery, possible risks and complications include bleeding, infection, adverse reactions to anaesthesia or medications, poor wound healing, scarring, changes in sensation or numbness, asymmetry, nerve damage, hair loss around the incision sites, facial muscle weakness, skin discolouration, persistent swelling or bruising.
Complications and unforeseen problems can occasionally occur, resulting in additional costs. The initial fees cover the surgery itself, and it is important to note that results cannot be guaranteed. Future procedures are not included in the original quote and will incur additional fees.
REVISION POLICY
If you require a revision procedure following your initial surgery at Norwest Cosmetic Surgery, Dr Senthil Supramaniam will waive his surgical fees. However, you will be responsible for covering the costs associated with hospital, anaesthetic and the necessary consumables for your procedure.
Our revision policy at Norwest Cosmetic Surgery specifically applies to the correction of complications arising from the primary surgery. It does not cover procedures done for reasons such as a change of mind.
RECOVERY
At Norwest Cosmetic Surgery, we offer a comprehensive range of cosmetic surgery procedures for the face, breasts, and body. The duration of recovery after undergoing cosmetic surgery can vary depending on various factors, including the specific type of procedure you choose.
Generally, it takes around 2-6 weeks to recover from the initial surgery, but it may take up to 12-24 months for full recovery and results. We recommend following our post-operative care instructions and allowing sufficient time for your body to heal.
Individual recovery times and post operative information will be on each treatment page on our website.
